DR. VALARIE WILLIAMS

Dr. Valarie F. Williams has committed her life to a mission of service, education, and fellowship. Similar to Pastor Williams, Dr. Williams is also a lover of learning. She received her undergraduate degree from St. Augustine’s College in Mathematics.  While enrolled, Dr. Williams became a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  Graduating in 1995, Dr. Williams then obtained a Master of Business Administration degree from East Carolina University. In 1998, Dr. Williams enrolled at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, receiving her Educational Specialist degree in 1998, following up with her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Curriculum and Teaching in 2005.

 

Dr. Williams has over 30 years in public education. Over the years, Dr. Williams has worked as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction. During her time as assistant superintendent, she was awarded millions of dollars in funding for the district through grants in addition to creating multiple new programs and initiatives for district-wide leadership. First Lady Dr. Valarie Williams currently serves as Principal of South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, SC.

In addition to serving as principal, Dr. Williams also runs her own educational consulting firm, mentoring and counseling the next generation of educational professionals.

 

First Lady Williams lives by the scripture Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”
